Service
LTL Freight
Less-than-truckload consolidates your shipment with others on the same trailer. You pay for the space and freight class you use. LTL is cost-effective for small shipments but involves terminal handling, so packaging and accurate class coding matter.

What it costs and what drives the rate
Rates on ltl freight move with lane balance, fuel, seasonality, and how much notice you give. Freight booked three or more days out consistently prices lower than same-day coverage on the same lane. Accessorials such as liftgate, driver assist, detention, and tarping are quoted separately, and we list them on the rate confirmation rather than surprising you on the invoice.
The fastest way to a firm number is a complete freight description: origin and destination ZIP, commodity, weight, dimensions or pallet count, and the pickup window.
Frequently asked questions
What is freight class and why does it change my price?
Class is based on density, stowability, handling, and liability. Understating class triggers a reweigh/reclass fee. We help you code it correctly the first time.
Is liftgate service included?
No. Liftgate pickup or delivery is an accessorial. Tell us up front if either end lacks a dock so the quote is accurate.
